University of California Los Angeles Ethnographic Architecture Research
Question Description
Teacher requirements:
•Individual methods which are available within an ethnographic study include: participant observation, interviews and surveys. All of these ethnographic methods can be very valuable in gaining a deeper understanding of a design problem. Usability practitioners often make use of these in order to develop their understanding of the relevant domain, audience(s), processes, goals and context(s) of use.
•WHO WILL YOU INTERVIEW? We are a bubble and it’s important to have input from those outside of our bubble.
•WHAT TYPE OF SURVEY CAN YOU CREATE? What audience should you target?
•WHERE and WHAT and WHO WILL YOU OBSERVE? You all know what you have access to physically so be realistic with this.
•We need to have all of this nailed down soon. Deadline for submission OF YOUR PLAN is October 30th. And then in November you will be in action with ethnographic research.
