Regis University General Problem Connecting Craftsman with Buyers Discussion
Question Description
I saw the general problem as connecting craftsmen with buyers. Internal entities: marketers (the ones finding the products and craftsmen), marketing (those showcasing the value), logistics (those figuring out shipping and storage). External entities: Craftsman, buyers, outsourced logistics such as shipping companies and freeports. Thomas (2018) gets pretty philosophical about non-human entities so I think we could expand into ‘cultural influence’ or ‘language differences’ as entities as well.
For an internal diagram showing the way that the merchants, marketers, and logistics teams all cooperate; a systems diagram (like this https://media.moresteam.com/main/pics/toolbox/tools-sysdiagram.png) could work well. (merchants send potential product/craftsman info and video to marketing. Marketing finds the best way to portray value. Sends info back to merchants and to logistics. Logistics and marketing both communicate with merchants about feasibility and quantity)
External could be like: organization interacts with craftsmen and translators. Organization interacts with shipping and storage companies. Organization interacts with buyers.
