Healthy People 2020 and the Affordable Care Act has influenced health promotion in public health by recognizing challenges that are taken place in health care and in communities to gain better outcomes for all. They work together to provide legal protection and establish ways to make health insurance coverage affordable, create new regulations and rules that will help make purchasing health insurance reasonable in addition to encouraging population-based programs (Fielding, Teutsch, & Koh, 2012). Moreover, Healthy People 2020 and the Affordable Care Act support away into strengthening customer’s safety, while providing well-organized health care systems, enable positive behavior change in communities, homes, and worksites (Fielding, Teutsch, & Koh, 2012).
