Question Description

The idea is to perfume a study for equipment named (OTSG). The function of this unit as below:

“ Once Through steam generators (OTSGs) are used for producing steam at Mukhaizna field, this steam is injected into the reservoir. Mukhaizna field development mainly based on steam for thermal enhanced oil recovery technology.

Currently, there are more than 78 OTSGs steam generators around the field. Failure of OTSG during operation is costly from operations and personnel perspective. “

So, I am thinking the project study to be in this way:

Analyze OTSG Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for all OTSG fleet in monthly basis

Then analyze them Area wise.

Then Analyze Per unit in each Area

After identify Reliability and availability for each unit,

From their will go deeply to look for their issue to improve efficiency by implement following;

Identify bad actors (Top 10 bad actors)

Perform optimization for improvement

However, refer to the attached report to get a clear picture (please exclude HRSG & 9E, will consider only OTSG from the report, so consider data starting from graph.6 at page 4 .

Note:

I’ve uploaded an example report for last month in PDF file named “Steam Gens. KPI Monthly Report – Sep.2020 Final”.

We may compare data for the last two year only (I mean we have to look for OEE for 2018 and 2019. From there we can prove that there is a cost saving after optimizing PM & CM and reliability is improved.

-PM scope

-Estimate repair time

-Down time /Production cost
