When planning the educational placement for a student with a mild disability, there are many factors to consider before the IEP team meets and begins writing the IEP. Among them are the accessibility, medical, and technology integration needs that may impact the decisions to be made. The factors to consider will vary from one condition or category to another, so to better prepare for this, you will develop an educational planning and placement checklist for students with mild disabilities.
Create a 2½- to 3-page guide that identifies and explains 2-3 factors for consideration in each of the following disability categories (total of 8-12 factors):
