This assignment is part of Module #12 (Operations Management). Please listen to the podcasts, watch the videos and read the session suggested materials before attempting to complete this assignment.

The objective of this assignment is being able to put into practice objective 1 of this module.

Two former surfers invented a material for surfboards thats lighter and stronger than anything manufacturers use now. They have received funding to set up a production facility for surfboards with the new material and they want you to help them select a location. In addition to your recommendation, identify at least three factors that you considered in reaching your decision.

In order to complete this assignment, make sure you do at least the following:

Identify a location or locations that you think would work. (i.e. a location on or near the Great Lakes, a city like Milwaukee or Chicago, or a city with at least X number of people on a body of water) The more detail you give at this point, the easier your assignment will be.
Identify at least three factors that you would take into consideration when identifying a location for your production. Make sure the location you picked meets these factors!!!
