HW assignment #3: Design a plate with holes to measure wire width(American Wire Gage number 1 through 28) and shim width (6 to 40 mil).Part should be dimensionally annotated. Upload Solidworks file on Canvas(Due date: 10/11/20).
American Wire Gage (AWG) numberscorrespond to different diameter size of wires. Do an internet search tofind a table of AWG numbers and corresponding diameters.
Shims:Thin sheet of metal or plastic used to add spacing between planarsurfaces of mechanical parts. Mil is a measure of thickness whichequivalent to a thousandth of an inch.
