The Task: Find healthy, convenient, and affordable food options.
The Purpose: Continue to apply course information about how food affects our brain and how.
The Criteria: Please see the rubric.
Two big factors that influence your good choices are money and what you have easy access to.
Your challenge is to post two food options that meet the following criteria: The food item is easy to get and is affordable (let’s say no more than $5).
Your options must be easily available and come from a grocery store, liquor store, convenience store (like 7-11), the shop at a gas station, or a fast food restaurants. Remember, this is something you can buy when you’re on the run and don’t have time to prepare something. Please put some thought into this and go beyond the easy options like fruit or nuts.
NO REPEATS! If someone has already posted about a particular food, please choose a different item. We want to have as many healthy options as possible posted in this discussion.
NOTE: If you are not comfortable actually going into stores, please do some online research about readily available options.

2. Where purchased
3. Cost
4. Why the food is a good option. That is, how is the food helping you and your brain? Be specific by mentioning neurotransmitters, brain structures, cognitive functions, etc.
