This is a creative project, so have fun! The idea is to provide the lost ending or missing back-story of one of the works weve read this semester, or to write a short narrative in which characters from two different works interact in some way; a short parody of the work of one of the authors would be fine too. Papers should be 500-750 words, unless youre inspired to write more.

The assignment is worth 40 points. You will receive 32 points for making a clear effort. You will receive additional points for the following:

Successfully imitating the style of an author or authors weve studied
Demonstrating an understanding of themes and character development in the works weve studied
Demonstrating an understanding of the historical period(s) in which the author or authors wrote
