ENGL 100 Golden West College Birthright Citizenship & Immigration Law Discussion
Question Description
The purpose of an argumentative essay is to make a claim and support your position by appealing to logic and reason. However, before you can accomplish this goal, you must educate yourself on your chosen topic and ensure you have a fully informed opinion. Rather than basing your argument on hearsay or assumptions, take the time to conduct research and consider all possible views before deciding what you agree with. Once you have researched your position, your goal will be to develop an argument that is logical, supported by evidence, and accounts for opposing views.
