I agree with this rationale because most of the employees do consider the compensation first before they accept the job offer. The organization that has the best offer attracts more candidates. The candidates are also concerned about their freedom and job security in the organization before accepting the offer. This refers to the freedom of making decisions in their area of specialization. Due to being materialistic in nature employees leaves the organization for better compensation in another organization. The organization also offers sign-on bonuses to attract determined and dedicated employees with more skills and experience. This strategy is mainly used by many organizations to improve the productivity of the recruits (Anik et al., 2013).

One of the advantages of using the sign-on-bonuses is attracting candidates who have competing offers. Some of the candidates might have additional skills and knowledge that might be important for the company in the future. It is a one-time payment and therefore the organization saves on the money best for salary increment. The sign-on bonus bridges the gap between the package of compensation that the candidate might be desiring and the compensation that the company is able to offer. The company is therefore able to save for the coming years.

One of the disadvantages of the sign-on bonus is that the employee feels demotivated in the second year when the payment returns to normal and only the basic salary is being paid to them. This makes them feel underpaid. The organization is forced to pay immediately after recruitment as failure to do so may lead to loss of important skills that might be important in making critical decisions. Productivity is not enhanced since after the payment of the sign-on bonus the employee may decide to be less productive (Choi, 2013).

Leading healthcare organizations are striving for magnet status and as such are requiring nurses to hold at least a bachelor’s degree. These organizations recognize that increasing the formal education levels of their nursing staff has a positive impact on their leadership, critical thinking and decision-making skills in caring for patients. (Shea, G. 2005) Like increasing their educational credentials, those who will take charge of the industry will have uncanny leadership ability, the foresight to see emerging trends, and, have expert decision-making skills.

As well as being compassionate, patient, and caring, as a nurse you also need to be able to demonstrate leadership skills from the start of your career. Today’s healthcare environment is in a state of flux, which makes planning ahead difficult. However, the right leadership qualities can help you respond to the many challenges and opportunities you will face. With the right skills and knowledge, you can take your career to the next level. Here is a list of qualities to help you get the most from your profession.

Five traits of collaborative nursing

· Acceptance. If you’re going to work well on a team, you must be comfortable with and accepting of diversity. …

· Self-Awareness. Do you know your own strengths and weaknesses?

· Generosity. Nobody is perfect. …

· Patience. Collaboration takes agreement, and agreement takes time.

· Flexibility.

Professionalism in my health Care setting

Nursing is a dynamic profession that requires competent, confident leadership. As organizational leaders, these professionals represent the nursing field at nearly every professional point of contact within the organization. This will increase in significance as nurse leaders find themselves representing the field in the boardroom more frequently as time moves forward. (Quisling, K. E. 2019)

Nursing leadership will change hands to a new generation of nursing talent over the next decade. These professionals will play a vital role in liaising between nurses and executive leaders in the evolving health care environment. Therefore, it is critical that nurse leaders start cultivating their replacements now and that the new generation of nurses pursue advanced training, such as Doctor of Nursing Practice accreditation, that will allow them to practice to the full extent of their capabilities.
