Question Description

Pease give a rely to each!

1- My virtue is patience. So, why is this my weakness? Well after realizing my passion for flying, I started taking flight lessons and I was always wanting to advance to the next stage of flight training quickly. However, I realized that its not possible for me to stay as motivated as I was without realizing that flight training is a time consuming process. For example, as a student pilot, I wanted to fly alone with the least amount of hours and I did! But it took a while because the weather would be bad most days or the plane would be down for maintenance, or the president was flying into town so there was no flying in the area with temporary flight restrictions, etc. So, as I grow and take in consideration the advancement of flight training, patience has been my virtue and my strength every since.

I would have to say my vice is complacency in regards to relying on people to do things right. Sometimes I find myself to get comfortable with trusting people to do their jobs correctly. For example, I was fling with this pilot and he was in charge of the flight. He was also responsible for checking the weather and the destination airport to ensure we would have no problems making to our destination and back safely. However, When we arrived at our destination air port, it was deemed closed and we had to turn back to our home base early because he did not check the air port information before we took off. This is why complacency is my vice.

So, how does this relate to egocentric and socio centric thinking? Well egocentric thinking is thinking of oneself vs the world. And as far as my virtue and vice being patience and complacency respectively, they are related in a way. In an egocentric fashion, I consider my patience to be key in standing out because I take my time and prepare well for my flight exams while I’m waiting patiently for the time to come and pass my exams with flying colors. Now, socio centric thinking is considering others needs above one’s self. As with complacency being my vice, it is part of my socio centric thinking because I tend fight the sense of feeling comfortable with other’s work and in turn check them to ensure they are doing their work correctly to not only help get the mission done, but to also help them become better pilots and leaders.

2-An intellectual virtue I would personally identify with is the conception of fair-mindedness. This is also acknowledged as the act of being both righteous and just. In order for an individual to apply and make valid the concept of justice, they must be unbiased while relinquishing all egotistical interests. These “interests” may involve those of personal understandings as well as those influenced by others. Egotistical views can block the ability of an individual to be open-minded and accepting of different outpoints presented before them. If thoughts were to remain unprejudiced and viewed in an equal manner, all perspectives would be honored and appear valued in all societal aspects. In a corporation, to provide an example, the overall quality of an individual can be evaluated by their level of fair-mindedness. It is sometimes hard to remember that a company is nothing more than a professional community compiled of diverse ideologies and perspectives performing mutually as a unity. When the corporations’ representatives work even-handed in both treatment and judgment, they help to preserve the integrity of said organization by being an idyllic model for all to follow.

According to School & Baehr (2013), philosophical viewpoints involving virtue epistemology are essential qualities of study and serve as rich knowledge to the good scholarly thinkers of the modern era. These are acknowledged to behold the capabilities of all who wish to understand the marvel of mankind to higher and greater depths. Cowardice, though not exactly considered to be a vice of excess, can be understood as a vice of deficiency. The vice of excess for this particular case would be rashness. This is considering the fact that the virtuous mean of both sides would be courage. Individuals recognized with the flaw of cowardice are known to fail in many risk-taking abilities. This shows that they would not succeed in making very good risk takers for an organization, nor would they serve as productive risk managers. risk analysis-based occupations are required to submerge in deeper waters and venture further into the more complex portions of management and leadership—almost like taking a blind gamble. According to C. Walsh (2014, p. 5), fear is an entirely natural and genuine reaction present in all beings as an overall response to danger and scenarios involving unknown outcomes. For this reason, one should not be troubled by the concept of fear. In fact, there are times when fear can act as reminder of the need to apply strength by confronting all present obstacles and therefore establishing a stronger viewpoint.

Because individuals have the tendency and urge to view the world from a rather narrow-minded perspective, critical thinking is an essential tool used to expand the understanding of individuals in ways that can be reflected onto their daily lives. To possess a fair-mindedness intellectual virtue, is to view all sides equally with both compassion and understanding. With fairness taken into consideration and fruitfully applied, individuals would interact in ways perceived as nondiscriminatory and free from all sorts of prejudicial judgment and lack of honesty. When applied in critical thinking, one must view fairness and bestow it into all matters within their reach. Cowardice, on the other hand, holds a much different nature. The act of cowardice can be, at times, rather egocentric. This can make itself present when and if the individuals focus all forms of energy only on their fear and, due to this, forget entirely on the fact that there is a greater cause to be aimed and centered on. If one’s fears are greater than their desire to become successful, then and only then should they seek determination. In critical thinking, one is required to have a strong sense when thinking as a responsibility. According to Davies (2011), Critical thinking has been acknowledged as an essential study that should be applied in all academic institutes as an indispensable thinking guideline, due to the fact that it can be applied in countless life scenarios.

4-Due to the digital era, businesses around the world have revolutionized the way they used to work. Businesses nowadays consider marketing as their integral part of bringing their products to their customers. It doesn’t matter whether your business is based on a vast or small scale; your effective marketing strategies could help effective targeting to reach out to existing and potential customers. That’s why; businesses nowadays are more shifted towards digital marketing to strengthen their brand image.

The general population perceives through marketing the standard image of a particular brand or business. This means their perception or opinion could bring down a business – making it quite unpopular due to the negative word of mouth marketing or a top-notch quality brand. This all depends on how companies handle and measure customers’ satisfactory levels by enhancing customer values and connecting with them at an emotional level. This could be achieved by monitoring customer feedback, doing online surveys, listening to critiques and reviews, and effectively managing the social media handles effectively (Stec, 2019).

Successful marketing practice nowadays that has surpassed geographical barriers is social media advertising. No matter how your business is scaled on large or small platforms, you can reach and monitor effective potential customers’ data and make your strategies based on the given data. This means you can also track down the customers’ likeness towards your brand, their active time on social media, and their purchasing patterns.

The most unsuccessful marketing practice was of Burger King when they activated the smartphones to read a list of burger ingredients, initially published on Wikipedia. The idea was a flop as hackers hacked it and it came out flopped (Lally, 2020).
