Question Description

I need help writing a paper about the company where I’m currently doing my internship. I’ve already some points to use.

My company is an accounting firm: Gaines, Goldenfarb, and Associates Pc.

Strengths:

It operates under coordinated, organized and team policies.

Counts with qualified service personnel.

It is located in a strategic place.

Weaknesses:

Highly seasonal work structure

Small place

There is no clear strategic direction

Opportunities:

Enter new segments

Satisfaction between rival companies

Rapid market growth

Threats:

Technological skills and resources

Competition

Slow market growth

Gaines, Goldenfarb, and Associates, PC operates under coordinated, organized, and team policies. The company uses an accounting system that facilitates the work for the staff and the understanding of the client. They all make their bests to get the work done and give customers the best service. The office is located in a strategic place, many clients like to go over their financials or any other issue in person, most of them just stop by. We even have clients coming from New York, Pennsylvania, and some others.

Like many other companies, Gaines, Goldenfaarb, and Associates, PC. Is exposed to weaknesses that can jeopardize stability such as lack of organization, highly seasonal work structure, and being in a small place. During the busy tax deadlines, it is sometimes hard to stay organized since everybody is running out of time and trying to finish, being in such a small place could sometimes be stressful.

It seems the company is growing little by little entering new segments and doing a better job than rivals. If it keeps going like that, there will be rapid market growth. I’m sure the company can get all the way to becoming one of the best ones. So far, many more people are coming, either from someone that is already a client or someone that wasn’t happy somewhere else.

The company like the other one’s biggest threat is competition. Competition constantly encourages companies to offer a wider range of services at the best prices. But like my boss, says there are other firms that charge less but don’t work as we do. If someone goes from us, they end up returning.

STRATEGIC ANALYSIS-INTERNSHIP COMPANY
Write (7) full pages that analyze the internal and external environments for your organization. Then make recommendations. This paper must be in essay form using APA format. Make sure you use proper grammar and spell check. You will be marked both on your writing mechanics as well as the content of your paper. In addition to your (7) pages of content, please add a cover page and a works cited page.

INTERNAL ANALYSIS
Your internal analysis must include factors within your organization that might be considered a strength or weakness and could be leveraged to take advantage of opportunities or reduce threats.

Specifically, you must analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each of the functions found in your organization (i.e. Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Management (including HR), Research & Development, Production, and Information Systems. You are to assess how well these functions are performing, providing an in-depth discussion and analysis of resource levels and capabilities (how well these functions are using the resources to achieve organizational objectives). Do not simply describe how your organizational units perform their work.

Your external analysis must include factors outside your organization that may pose opportunities or threats to your organization. Specifically, you must analyze factors in the societal environment (demographics, economic, socio-cultural, political-legal, and technology) as well as factors in the industry environment (customers, competitors, and suppliers). Do not simply describe the external factors that you believe affect your business. You are required to provide the reader a clear understanding of how the factors are related to the creation of opportunities or threats for your organization.

Once you have completed your SWOT analysis, the next step is to develop recommendations for your organization which could be implemented to take advantage of the opportunities and reduce the threats.
