Write a 150-300 word paragraph about a synthetic material–a material that has been invented, rather than produced naturally. You will create a clear and concise heading for the section and choose a visual to support the main idea. The synthetic material can be one of the following:

You submission must include 5 parts: your outline, your heading, your paragraph, your visual, and a works cited page.

Outline: Include your topic sentence and supporting ideas. Order your ideas logically.

Paragraph: Start your paragraph on a new page. Follow MLA formatting guidelines. Write one single paragraph. No more than ONE paragaph. You may paraphrase and summarize from outside sources, but please do not quote directly.

Visual: Include a visual that supports your message. It should not distract the reader.

• Use a hanging indent for the citation
• Include all necessary information. Most likely, you will need to follow one of these formats:

  • Last name, First name. “Title of Essay.” Name of Website, website link. Date of access.
  • “Title of Essay.” Name of Website, website link. Date of access.
