Develop a list of 3 state and 3 federal legislative priorities for your organization. Legislative priorities are potential bills that support the organization in fulfilling their mission. Below are a few examples. Organizations develop legislative priorities and hire lobbyists to aid in getting these bills passed the legislature. Review the current landscape of legislation, identify the top 3 issues at the state and top 3 issues at the federal levels that need to be changed to help the organization do their work.

- Develop a list of only three legislative priorities that the organization should focus on in 2019 at the state level
- Describe each priority in plain language but understanding the context in which it is being debated
- Cite at least one bill that has been introduced in the legislature and should become law to help this organization

- Develop a list of only three legislative priorities that the organization should focus on in 2019 at the federal level
- Describe each priority in plain language but understanding the context in which it is being debated
