This week, you will complete Part 3 of your Course Project and finalize your paper for final submission to include Parts 1, 2, 3, title page, abstract, and reference page.

To complete your Course Project:

Write an 8- to 10-page research paper (not including title page, abstract, and reference page) in which you:

Part 1, Week 6: Choosing a Therapeutic Approach (2–3 pages)

• Choose either CBT, REBT, or a Third Wave therapy (mindfulness based CBT, dialectical behavior therapy, or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)). Briefly introduce the approach you have selected and summarize its theoretical foundation and major techniques/interventions.

Part 2, Week 7: Applying the Therapy (2–3 pages)

• Apply the therapy you selected in Part 1 to a diverse population and a specific DSM-5 disorder (e.g., Native Americans, refugees, agoraphobia).
• Summarize (in 2–3 pages) the history of your approach being applied to your selected population and selected issue. Provide references to the literature to support your summary.
• Include your media presentation of your project that you presented during your residency.

Part 3, Week 11: What Does Research Say? (2–4 pages)

• What research supports or contradicts the efficacy of the therapy approach you selected (CBT/REBT/Third Wave/Multicultural) to treatment of your selected population and DSM-5 disorder? Provide an overview of relevant research.
